Design Workshop Inc. is an award-winning, national firm practicing landscape architecture, land planning, urban design and tourism planning. We're always looking for talented and motivated people to join us and are currently seeking a Marketing/ Business Development professional for our Santa Fe, NM office location. 

The principal responsibilities of this position are managing and implementing the office’s sales efforts. These responsibilities include a leadership role in the planning, preparation and execution of all SOQ’s/proposals issued by the office. Additional responsibilities include organizing and managing marketing efforts, assisting in developing and organizing support materials as well as identifying leads and preparing proposals and presentations for potential project work. 

Candidate should be organized, possess strong writing and editing skills, be deadline-oriented and possess the ability to manage projects and work well in a team environment.  Thorough knowledge of at least four of the following software programs is required, familiarity with all is preferred: InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Deltek.  A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field in addition to a minimum of 4 years previous experience preparing written and visual materials for promotional, educational or marketing purposes required.

WRITER/PROPOSAL COORDINATOR

CDM is a full-service consulting, engineering, construction and operations firm delivering exceptional services to public and private clients worldwide. We need to expand our marketing team to provide a high level of responsive services to our internal and external clients.  We are seeking a highly motivated marketing writer/proposal coordinator with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join either our Phoenix or Albuquerque offices. Working with our senior marketing writer/coordinator located in Albuquerque, this position will enable us to continue to grow our services and capabilities in the Southwest.

Candidates for the position will have excellent writing skills, be adept at managing proposal efforts and teams to a schedule, and will have the ability to effectively process multiple assignments at the same time. This intermediate-level position will lead the proposal process from strategy discussions and proposal kickoff through writing, review, and delivery of the proposals and client presentations. The main responsibilities for this position include:

● Strategizing, brainstorming, writing, and editing copy for proposals, presentations, and related marketing materials;

● Leading storyboarding sessions and other strategy development meetings;

● Assisting senior writers in the region with the development, writing, and coordination of highly strategic proposals and presentations;

● Writing and editing materials for our firmwide marketing resource database, including resumes and project descriptions; and

● Maintaining client relations tracking systems and other marketing and BD-related databases.

The qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in business, communications, journalism, or closely related field as well as a minimum of 6 years of related experience. Ability to facilitate brainstorming and storyboarding sessions for groups in size of 4-10 professionals is desired.

Practical and successful experience with business development process models (Dag Knudsen, Miller Heiman, CDMwins) is a plus. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word, InDesign, Excel and PowerPoint, and have the ability to work under rigid time constraints.  We are an equal opportunity employer.
